Our Story

The National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc., (Hall of Fame) hosts the Competition of Black College Queens, a long standing program of the Annual Hall of Fame Weekend,  annually in September.

The focus for the Competition of Black College Queens is to provide an opportunity for young women attending our nations Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to better prepare for the future.

The exciting Competition showcases young African American women from HBCUs who hold the coveted title of “Queen” of their institution. The queens are judged in five categories and the winner receives an academic scholarship and various gifts and prizes. Miss National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame serves as a national representative and advocates on behalf of HBCUs.
